For frying Oil
1
Break three pieces of bread into small chunks, soak them in 1/2 cup of milk, and set them aside.
2
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly mash two boiled potatoes until smooth.
3
Add 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp oregano, two finely chopped green chilies, and 1/2 tsp cumin to the mashed potatoes. Add the soaked bread pieces, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, and 3 tbsp cornflour for binding.
4
Mix all ingredients well until a smooth, dough-like consistency is formed. (Optional: You can add smoked paprika or chili flakes for extra heat).
5
Roll the mixture out evenly on a flat surface. Trim the edges for a clean shape and cut into bite-sized nugget pieces. If desired, you can insert a small piece of cheese inside each nugget before shaping.
6
Beat one egg in a bowl. Dip each nugget into the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs for a crispy texture. For extra crunch, you can double-coat by repeating the egg and breadcrumb process.
7
Fry the nuggets in medium-heated oil until they reach a golden brown color. Alternatively, you can bake them at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and crispy.
