Ingredients

1 pound Bread

3 cups Dairy

4 large Egg

3 cup Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla Essence

1 tsp Cinnamon

pinch Salt

Chocolate chips

Instructions

1

Cube the bread and place it into a greased baking dish.

2

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, milk, heavy cream, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.

3

Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes. Press down gently to ensure every piece of bread is submerged. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes so the bread absorbs the liquid.

4

Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C). Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden and slightly crisp.

5

Let it cool slightly before serving. It pairs perfectly with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
