Ingredients

1 cup Pearl Millet (Bajra Flour)

1 tsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)

to taste Salt

1 tsp Sesame Seeds

Beetroot puree (1 cup)

Instructions

1

In a cooking pot, combine 1 cup of beetroot puree, a pinch of salt, and 1 cup of bajra flour. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps and the flour fully absorbs the liquid.

2

Once mixed, turn off the gas, cover the pot with a lid, and allow it to steam for a few minutes.

3

Grease the bottom of a bowl with a little ghee and transfer the steamed dough into it.

4

Add 1/4 tsp of sesame seeds to the dough. Using your hands, knead the mixture thoroughly until you have a smooth, well-combined dough. (Note: The dough will be hot, so handle with care.)

5

Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into circular balls.

6

Take a ball and flatten it into a circular roti shape. You can use a little extra dry bajra flour to prevent sticking while flattening.

7

Gently place the roti onto a preheated tawa (griddle). Cook on a medium flame from both sides until golden brown. You may apply a little extra ghee on top if desired.

8

Once cooked through and soft, remove the roti from the heat and serve immediately.
