Ingredients

1 cup Mint Leaves

1 tsp Basil seeds

1 cup Water

2 tsp Jaggery (Powdered)

1 tsp Cumin Powder

1 tsp Black Salt

1 tsp Sea Salt

1 piece Lemon

as needed Ice cubes

Instructions

1

In a small bowl, add 1 tsp basil seeds (sabja) and cover with water. Allow them to soak for about 5 minutes or until they swell up.

2

Thoroughly wash and rinse 1 cup of fresh mint leaves, then place them in a strainer to remove excess water.

3

Into a high-speed blender jar, add the rinsed mint leaves, 1/2 cup water, 2 tsp organic jaggery, 1/3 tsp roasted jeera powder, 1/4 tsp black salt, 1/4 tsp sea salt, and the juice of 1 whole lemon.

4

Blend until smooth and strain the mixture into a cup or container to remove any residue.

5

To assemble, fill a serving glass with ice cubes, add 2-3 tbsp of the soaked basil seeds, fill halfway with the blended mint mixture, and top off with plain water.

6

Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint.
