Ingredients

1 tbsp Ragi / Finger Millet Flour

1 cup Water

1 piece Cinnamon

7 Almonds (soaked & peeled)

1 medium Apple (peeled and chopped)

1 tbsp Flax seeds (Javas)

Chia seed (1 tbsp)

For garnishing Almond (sliced)

medjool date(1 soft)

Instructions

1

In a small bowl, combine the sprouted ragi flour with 1/4 cup of water. Mix well until the flour is completely dissolved and free of lumps.

2

Pour 1 cup of water into a saucepan and heat it until warm. Add the ragi mixture, turn the heat to low, and stir thoroughly. Add a small piece of cinnamon (or cinnamon powder) for flavor. Gradually increase the heat, and once it starts to boil, reduce it to the lowest setting. Continue to cook for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly to ensure it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.

3

Once the ragi has thickened, turn off the flame and set it aside to cool down completely.

4

While the ragi mixture is cooling, peel the overnight-soaked almonds. Peel and roughly chop the apple into pieces.

5

Once the ragi mixture has cooled, add it to a high-speed blender. Include the soaked, peeled almonds, the chopped apple, flax seeds, chia seeds, and the soft medjool date. Add an additional 1/4 cup of water to the blender.

6

Blend everything on high until the mixture is thick, creamy, and smooth.

7

Pour the smoothie into a serving glass and garnish with finely chopped, soaked almonds for added crunch.
