Ingredients

Jeera Masala Soda concentrate:

1 cup Cumin Seeds

2 tbsp Peppercorns

1 cup Sugar

1 tbsp Black Salt

1 tbsp Chaat Masala

1 cups Water

For assembling the final drink:

Concentrated Syrup: As needed

Lemon Juice: From one small lemon per glass

Soda Water (chilled)

Ice Cubes, Lemon Slices, & Mint Leaves: For garnishing

Step 1Making the Jeera Masala Powder

Dry roast 1/2 cup of cumin seeds and 2 tablespoons of whole peppercorns in a pan on medium flame for 2-3 minutes until aromatic.

Transfer to a plate and let them cool down completely.

Blend the roasted spices in a mixer jar into a fine powder.

Step 2Making the Syrup

In a wide saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar, the ground spice powder, 1 tablespoon of black salt, and 1 tablespoon of chaat masala.

Add 1.5 cups of water and mix well on low heat until the sugar dissolves.

Increase to high flame and boil for about 15 minutes until the syrup thickens.

Turn off the stove, let the syrup cool completely, and transfer it to a bottle for refrigeration.

Step 3Assembling the Soda

Add a desired amount of the concentrated jeera syrup to a glass.
