Ingredients

1 1⁄2 cup Gram Flour (besan)

2 1⁄2 tbsp Oil

6 tbsp Water

2 pinch Asafoetida Powder (Hing)

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

to taste Salt

For deep frying Oil

In a large mixing bowl, combine the besan, salt, turmeric, and hing.

Add 2.5 tablespoons of oil to the flour mixture and rub with your hands until it becomes crumbly.

Gradually add water to the mixture to form a soft, smooth, and slightly stretchy dough.

Grease your sev machine and the inner side of the mold with a little oil.

Fill the machine with the prepared dough.

Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai over medium-high heat.

Press the dough through the machine directly into the hot oil, moving in a circular motion.

Fry until the bubbling subsides and the sev turns golden and crispy.
