Ingredients

1 1⁄2 cup Gram Flour (besan)

1 tsp Salt

1 pinch Turmeric Powder

as needed Water

1 tbsp Oil

For deep frying Oil

Combine the gram flour, turmeric, salt, and 1 tablespoon of oil in a mixing bowl.

Gradually add water to create a smooth, medium-consistency batter that is neither too thick nor too thin.

Grease the inside of your sev maker machine with oil to prevent sticking.

Insert the fine-strand mold into the machine and fill it with the prepared batter.

Heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai. Once hot, press the machine to release the batter directly into the oil in circular motions.

Deep fry until the bubbles in the oil subside, indicating the sev is cooked. Carefully flip and fry the other side briefly.
