1 tsp Cumin Seeds

1 tsp Asafoetida Powder (Hing)

3 tsp Salt

as needed Oil

as needed Water

1 piece Onion (finely chopped)

1 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped)

For garnishing Coriander Leaves (chopped)

Instructions

1

Soak the green gram and raw rice in water for at least 5 to 6 hours.

2

Wash and rinse the soaked grains well, then drain the water.

3

Add the grains to a blender with green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, salt, and asafoetida.

4

Gradually add about 1 cup of water while blending to achieve a smooth, pouring consistency.

5

Heat an iron tawa over medium flame. If desired, rub the surface with a half-cut onion to prevent sticking.

6

Pour a ladle of batter into the center and swirl outward in a circular motion.

7

Optionally, sprinkle chopped onions, ginger, and coriander on top.

8

Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook until the base is firm and browned.

9

Flip the dosa carefully and cook for a few seconds on the other side.

10

Fold the dosa and serve immediately while hot.
