1 cup Sugar

1 cup Water

1 tsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)

pinch Cardamom Powder

Instructions

1

Pulse the cashew nuts in a blender to get a fine powder. Sieve it to ensure there are no large chunks.

2

In a non-stick pan, combine sugar and water. Heat until the sugar dissolves and reaches a one-string consistency.

3

Lower the heat and add the cashew powder. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.

4

Add ghee and cardamom powder. Cook on low heat until the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan and forms a soft dough.

5

Transfer the dough onto a greased plate or parchment paper. Once slightly cool but still warm, grease your hands and knead it until smooth and shiny.

6

Roll the dough out into a uniform sheet (about 3-5mm thick).

7

pply the silver vark if using. Cut into the signature diamond shapes while still slightly warm.
