Ingredients

200 Sesame Seeds

200 Jaggery

2 tsp Butter

1 tbsp Water

Instructions

1

In a heavy-bottomed pan, dry-roast the sesame seeds over low-medium heat until they turn aromatic and slightly golden. Remove from the pan and set aside to cool.

2

In the same pan, add the jaggery along with 1 tablespoon of water. Melt it over low heat, stirring continuously until it reaches a thick, syrupy consistency.

3

Add the roasted sesame seeds into the molten jaggery. Add a teaspoon of ghee for extra flavor and shine. Mix thoroughly to coat every seed evenly.

4

While the mixture is still warm, transfer it onto a greased surface. Press it down into a flat layer or shape it into small rounds or squares using your hands or a mold.

5

Allow the mixture to cool and rest for about 30 minutes until it hardens and sets perfectly. Once firm, break or cut into desired pieces and serve.
