Ingredients

3 small Apple (peeled and chopped)

1 cup Cornflour (Cornstarch)

1 cup Sugar

3 tsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)

1 cup Water

4 tsp Poppy Seeds

1 tsp Pumpkin (chopped)

4 drop Food Coloring

1 tbsp Watermelon Seeds

Instructions

1

Steam the halved apples in an idli mold for 5 minutes until soft. Remove the skin and seeds, then mash the pulp thoroughly.

2

In a bowl, mix corn flour with 1/2 cup of water until smooth to ensure no lumps form.

3

In a pan, add sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Heat on high until it forms a sticky, honey-like consistency.

4

Add the mashed apple pulp to the sugar syrup and stir well.

5

Pour in the corn flour mixture slowly while stirring continuously to keep the texture smooth and creamy.

6

Add food color and 1 teaspoon of ghee, stirring until it thickens.

7

Stir in the watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds, and poppy seeds for texture.

8

Add the remaining ghee gradually and continue cooking until the mixture becomes jelly-like and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

9

Transfer the mixture to a tray, garnish with extra seeds, and press down evenly.

10

Allow it to set for at least 2 hours, then cut into desired shapes and serve.
