Ingredients

1 cups Cashew Nut Powder

3 cup Sugar

3 cup Water

1 tsp Cardamom Powder

For garnishing Silver Foil

as needed Clarified Butter (Ghee)

Instructions

1

Grind the cashew nuts in several small batches to prevent them from releasing their natural oils. Sieve the resulting powder to ensure a fine consistency, and sieve the cardamom powder as well.

2

In a pan, combine the sugar with an equal amount of water. Turn on the flame and let the mixture boil for a few minutes.

3

Test the syrup by taking a small amount on a spoon and checking it between your fingers; it should reach a one-string consistency. Once ready, turn off the flame.

4

Add the prepared cashew powder to the sugar syrup and mix continuously until the mixture forms a smooth, soft dough.

5

Allow the dough to rest and cool until it is safe to handle.

6

Place the dough on a greased plate or tray. Apply a little ghee to a rolling pin and roll the dough out into an even layer.

7

Carefully apply the silver foil over the surface for decoration. Let the sheet set for at least 30 minutes, then cut it into classic diamond shapes.
