150 g Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)

1 tsp Cardamom Powder

Saffron: A few strands soaked in 3 tbsp of warm milk

For garnishing Nuts

Instructions

1

Soak a few strands of saffron in 3 tablespoons of warm milk to infuse color and flavor, then set aside.

2

In a non-stick or heavy-bottom pan, add a portion of the clarified butter (ghee) over a low-to-medium flame.

3

Add the sweetened condensed milk to the pan and mix well for about a minute until combined.

4

Incorporate the milk powder. Keep the flame on low and mix continuously to remove any lumps.

5

Stir in the cardamom powder and the prepared saffron-soaked milk.

6

Continue stirring for about 3-4 minutes until the mixture thickens, becomes lumpy, and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

7

Add the remaining ghee, mix well, and cook for one final minute. Do not overcook to avoid cracking.

8

Transfer the mixture to a plate and let it cool for 5-6 minutes until it is warm and manageable.

9

Take small portions of the warm mixture and roll them into smooth, round balls using your hands.

10

Gently flatten the center of each ball with your fingertip and garnish with chopped pistachios or other nuts of your choice.
