Ingredients

1 cup Sattu Flour

1 cup Almonds

3 cup Jaggery

2 tbsp Coco Powder

3 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)

1 tbsp Water

Instructions

1

In a pan, lightly roast the chopped almonds in a teaspoon of ghee until they turn crunchy and golden. Set aside.

2

Since sattu is already roasted, briefly warm it in the pan for 2–3 minutes to release its aroma. Mix in the cocoa powder and cardamom powder.

3

Melt the jaggery with a splash of water in a separate pan until it reaches a syrupy consistency (don't overcook to a hard string).

4

Add the warm sattu-cocoa mixture and the roasted almonds into the jaggery syrup. Stir well to combine.

5

Gradually add the remaining ghee while the mixture is still warm. This helps in binding and adds a rich texture.

6

Take small portions of the mixture while it is still warm (but touchable) and roll them between your palms to form smooth, round balls (laddus).

7

Let the laddus sit for 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
